When?

Itinerary

Day 1:

7:30 am: Leave Alexander Montessori on air conditioned bus to Everglades. Tour guide to brief participants on the way.
8:30am - 5pm: Wild Lime Adventures tour.

-1-hour air boat trip way out far from land in the "River of Grass."

-Visit to a Native tree island village that is only accessible by air boat.

-Thrilling 1-hour and 20 minute boat trip way out in the 10,000 Islands.

-Exploration of a remote beach in the beautiful 10,000 islands.

-Immersive nature walk led by a master naturalist guide

-A wonderful order off the menu lunch in Everglades City

-A scenic narrated drive led by a naturalist through Big Cypress

-Visit to a historic trading post

5pm: Complete tour. Drive 30 min to Ivy House Everglades Adventures Hotel. Half our group will be in one hotel and half in the other. The hotels are adjoining.
5:30pm: Arrive at hotels and check-in.
6:30pm: Dinner at Island Cafe Restaurant
7:30pm: Stargazing event

Day 2:

8am: Breakfast at Island Cafe Restaurant.
9am: Short walk to Kayaking Tour. Each child must ride in kayak with one adult.
12pm: Box lunch on bus then 1hr 15 min drive to Seminole Museum.
2pm: Ah-Tah-Thi Ki Museum - Visit the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation and learn about Native American culture.
4pm: Drive 1hr 30 minutes to Alexander.
5:30pm: Arrive at Alexander Montessori.
